Toronto: CMC (Canadian Multicultural Council of Asians in Ontario) Food & Cultural Festival was held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. CMC promotes Asian heritage and culture within the mosaic of Canadian multiculturalism. It encourages unity among all Asians to help build a strong Canadian Multicultural society, and to promote racial harmony through the understanding of cultures and heritages. Their members consist of more than 20 Asian Canadian associations representing various Asian countries, ethnic, regions, and cultures. This year, the year end potluck party drew more than 500 attendees from various ethnic groups. The Vietnamese Association of Toronto along with the Vietnamese Women Association and the Thu Thao Dance Group took part in the festive event with Vietnamese food and entertainment. As a bonus surprise the Vietnamese group won the second prize of the ethnic fashion show contest at the end of the evening.
