Mississauga, Ontario: On Feb. 24, 2018, ADC (Ao Dai Canada) took part in the Vietnamese TET Gala hosted by VOICE Canada and Vietnamese Network at Versailles Convention Centre in Mississauga. The event drew close to 700 attendees. Special guests included Federal and Provincial representatives, Mayor of City of Mississauga, councillors of Mississauga and candidate of Progressive Conservative Party.
Ao Dai Canada and Vivian Luu presented the historical evolution of Ao Dai that spanned over 200 years. The show was very well received. ADC is a newly formed non-profit organization in 2017. Their mission is to foster, preserve and celebrate the Vietnamese Arts and Culture. They also raise funds for charitable causes and humanitarian efforts in Vietnam. ADC board members include William Doan, Thi Dang, Hoang Anh Dang, Nhat Phung and Kelly Hong Le. ADC provides safe and fun environment for all ages to participate and learn about Vietnamese Arts and Culture.
ADC is working on a collaboration with Ao Dai Festival founded by Jenny Do in San Jose in preparation for Ao Dai Festival in Toronto 2020. Ao Dai Canada and Ao Dai Festival hope to preserve and celebrate the Vietnamese Art and Culture for generations to come. ADC welcomes new members, volunteers, artists and anyone who loves Ao Dai to join them in this fun, exciting, empowering movement.
