VAT hosted an Appreciation Dinner to recognize the contributions of organizations as well as individuals who volunteered their time and talents to make the TET festival 2018 a successful event.
This year, among the representatives from various groups, there were about 200 young volunteers who performed many different tasks ranging from reception, setting up and running various activities such as children games, to cleaning up the hall at International Centre after the festival. Their incredible efforts were acknowledged and celebrated at the dinner. Both the organizers and the volunteers inspired each other to continue to build confidence, connections and a stronger more vibrant Vietnamese community in Toronto.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement that this year the TET festival made in 35 000 dollars in profit. This money will be used for the Summer festival in this coming July.
